Cold Storage Doors

Foam, mechanical and inflatable dock shelters that seal the gap between a vehicle and the loading opening to keep cold air, dust and insects out.

Key Features

  • Three versions to match vehicle fleet and sealing needs
  • Keeps cold air, dust, insects and rain out during loading
  • Mechanical frame absorbs impact, inflatable gives tightest seal
  • Hard-wearing fabrics built for repeated vehicle contact

Applications

  • Cold room and freezer loading bays
  • Food processing and distribution warehouses
  • Logistics loading docks with strict insulation

Product Overview

A dock shelter seals the space between a reversed vehicle and the loading opening. It keeps cold air in, cuts draughts and stops insects, dust and rain entering during loading. Three versions are offered for different vehicle fleets and sealing needs.

Foam shelter: three foam-filled cushions are covered in high-density polyester fabric, with yellow guide strips on the front. It works best where vehicle sizes are fairly uniform and insulation requirements are strict.

Mechanical shelter: a retractable frame built from parallel square tubes swings back when the vehicle contacts it and returns under its own weight. Built-in springs give way if the vehicle reverses off-line, so the frame is not damaged. It suits mixed fleets and most standard loading bays.

Inflatable shelter: three air bags on the sides and top are inflated by a blower to wrap the vehicle, then retract when loading ends. The bags use high-tear, puncture-resistant fabric with high-frequency welded seams and a constant-pressure vent. It gives the tightest seal and is used for cold rooms and long loading cycles.
